Perfect Fifth
Perfect Fifth is a small student directed a cappella choir taking classically inspired singing to new heights. Specializing in the music of the Renaissance, their repertoire ranges from the beginnings of western polyphonic music in the Middle Ages all the way to contemporary art music. Founded in 1978, for four decades Perfect Fifth has put on eclectic and inspired concerts, performing across the Bay Area and collaborating with groups around campus. They routinely take part in the Music Department’s Noon Concert series, as well as guesting with the UC Alumni Chorus, and, in 2017, Cappella SF. Auditions are held in the beginning of both Fall and Spring semesters.
